System Engineering

About the Course

System Engineers play a critical role in managing and maintaining the organization’s IT infrastructure, ensuring that systems are reliable, secure, and performant to meet the organization’s operational and business needs. They also encompass a wide range of responsibilities related to designing, implementing, managing, and maintaining an organization’s IT infrastructure.

Courses covered in System Engineer program:

CCNA : In this course, you will learn the fundamentals of networking, including LAN and WAN technologies, routing and switching protocols, network security, and network management.

RHCSA : These courses cover various aspects of Linux administration, system configuration, and use essential tools for handling files, directories, command-line environments, and documentation by creating simple shell scripts. Red Hat Linux course training also helps to operate running systems, including booting into different run levels, identifying processes, starting and stopping virtual machines, and controlling services by configuring local storage using partitions and logical volumes.

Microsoft MCSA : MCSA course is expected to perform general Installation, Creating, and Managing of images for Deployment purposes. MCSA training certification helps in validating the knowledge about Microsoft’s products. MCSA is the second level of the Microsoft certification pyramid. The certification is designed in such a way that it results in leading the students to the more specialized, higher complex certifications.

AWS : The AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate Certification course is a beginner-level course which provides cloud computing services and deals with the study of designing, deploying, and evaluating applications on AWS within diverse and complex requirements.

Virtualization : It is gaining popularity quickly as the most common initial point for future virtualization administrators. VMware training deals with digital solutions for all the IT-related issues in the tech world that further helps in managing, installing, connecting, and running private and public cloud infrastructures.

Roles and Responsibilities of a System Engineer Program :

System Design and Architecture: System Engineers are responsible for designing and architecting the organization’s IT systems and infrastructure. This involves analyzing business requirements, evaluating technology options, and designing solutions that meet the organization’s needs for performance, scalability, reliability, and security.

Server Deployment and Administration: System Engineers deploy, configure, and administer servers, both physical and virtual, to support the organization’s applications, services, and workloads. They install operating systems, manage system configurations, and ensure server availability, performance, and security.

Network Infrastructure Management: System Engineers oversee the organization’s network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points. They configure network devices, implement network protocols, troubleshoot connectivity issues, and optimize network performance and security.

Virtualization and Cloud Computing: System Engineers deploy and manage virtualization platforms (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V, KVM) and cloud computing environments. They provision virtual machines, manage hypervisors, and optimize resource utilization in virtualized and cloud-based environments.

Identity and Access Management (IAM): They implement IAM solutions to manage user identities, access controls, and permissions across IT systems and applications. System Engineers configure authentication mechanisms, authorization policies, and single sign-on (SSO) solutions to ensure secure and seamless access to resources.

Monitoring and Performance Optimization: They deploy monitoring tools and systems to monitor the performance, availability, and health of IT systems and infrastructure. System Engineers analyze system metrics, diagnose performance bottlenecks, and implement optimizations to improve system reliability, responsiveness, and scalability.

Backup and Disaster Recovery: System Engineers design and implement backup and disaster recovery solutions to protect against data loss and ensure business continuity. They develop backup strategies, configure backup systems, and test disaster recovery plans to minimize downtime and data loss in the event of a disaster.

Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: System Engineers maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, processes, and procedures. They create system diagrams, runbooks, and troubleshooting guides to facilitate knowledge sharing, training, and collaboration among IT teams and stakeholders.
